Business Intelligence/Datawarehousing Support Specialist
(National Capital Reg - Manila)

Responsibilities:



 
You will be a part of HP\'s Global Delivery Application Services organization providing IT services to HP\'s valued clients.
 
As the Business Intelligence/Datawarehousing Support Specialist, you will belong to an applications service team.  Focus service area is management reporting and datawarehousing systems.  You will be responsible for delivering BI/DW services  to the satisfaction of customers with end-to-end reliability and continuous improvement in mind.



Requirements:

 

Your Profile

 

- At least a Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, any equivalent degree or relevant skills and work experience

- Individual should have a good understanding and/or strong inclination in working with datawarehousing technologies such as:

   -- Oracle

   -- UNIX

   -- PL/SQL scripting

   -- Informatica

   -- Cognos

   -- Business Objects

   -- Java/J2EE

- Ongoing training will be mostly on the individual\'s initiative to learn to complement the on-the-job, external/internal/corporate trainings

- Must have strong project management skills.

- Stong problem solving skills for technical and process related issues.  Individual should have consistently shown ability to resolve operations and service issues in a timely and satisfactory manner, ensuring that short and long term solutions are in place

- Strong customer-service orientation as we are in HP services business

- Interpersonal sensitivity and customer responsiveness

- Individual should be able to work out win-win solutions between the customer and the service team, if not exceed their expectations

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.  The role means dealing with endusers, call centers, other IT support teams as well as the team members face to face or remotely. Broad, timely and clear communication of solutions/issues to concerned parties should be a habit. Ability to communicate complex technical contents plainly and simply is a must.

- Willing to work in shifts and to be on-call due to the global nature of the work and clients

- Strong flexibility and resourcefulness
