For example in my case, i just have 2- 3 year working experience. Anyone na makakapag bigay ng advice sa akin. I am only 23 years old. Baka kasi i bargain nila db? But i included naman in my resume yung mga expertise ko. mga projects n natapos at yung recent employment info. Need advice lang po.

Thanks,

Hello GB,

I tried to come to Sing for two weeks. I was there last April or May of this year. Within two weeks nagtry ako maghanap. Merong tumatawag sakin minsan, tapos interview na sa phone. It seems to me that they don\'t like people who doesn\'t have PR status or w/o employment pass. After two weeks umuwi na ko ng pinas kasi im still currently employed here as QA engineer for a software security company. Any advice also that you can give me? Should i resign tapos hanap n lang ako ng work sa singapore? How much would be my budget? Ilang months ba usually ang kelangan magstay before makakuha ng work?

Thanks,
JL

Hi GBTalk,

Based from experience and evaluation, from my friends\' advice, i think you can survive with 2.5k, provided that you leave alone here and you don\'t bring ur family.

Lets say this could be ur expenses monthly:
1. room rental: 600- 700 sgd - HDB
2. traspo (bus/mrt): 100-150 sgd
3. food: 350-500 sgd
4. entertainment/misc: 200-300

for a total of 1.2k-1.7k sgd, minus mo sa salary of 2.5k = meron ka savings na 1k x 30+ pesos = 30k php per month. pwede na dba?

On Item #3, can be as low as 150 depende kung gaano ka katipid
On Item #4, Sometimes you need a break and pamper yourself. It depends on your lifestyle but i think a weekly movie viewing together with your gf/friends is not bad right?  :)

Salaries for IT professionals varies all depending on the skill sets of the person. But it seems like the fair salary or norm is as follows:

->Junior Level, 2-3 yrs Experience - S$ 2.8 to S$3.5k
->3-4 yrs experience, at least $3.5k.
->4 yrs onwards, then i think it would depend now to the skill sets specific, i.e., like mostly Mainframe Operators dont earn as much as Mainframe programmers do. And  DBAs even pays well compare to Windows System Administrators

Certification has a greater value here. Gets your CV noticed. Kaya if you have the chance, do take those courses and get certified. The more certifications you have the better. =)

Talaga?

Sabi naman ng friend ko 1600 daw ang flat rate don at 2000 daw condo pataas.

So siguro ok na yung 3000 ang kinikita mo para magenjoy ka?
