If you are new to Windows Vista, you may occasionally find this tips useful. User Account Control (UAC) is a technology and security infrastructure introduced with Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system. For some reason i try to disable UAC in my laptop notebook when i don’t want to see continuous prompting of security messages. User Account Control is enabled in Windows Vista by default, so you will have to turn this off and disable the User Account Control. However, Microsoft recommends that users do not turn off UAC for security purposes. But if you still need to disable it, there are actually several ways to do this . Some of the methods below are already familiar especially for those techies living in the 4 corners of the screen all day =) but for those who are learning the facets, the on and offs of their machine and may become handy in the long run, here are some of the various methods of enabling and disabling UAC.
