Oh actually just 5 days after my online application I called the branch but the staff said it’s not yet available so since that day I always call that they became familiar with my voice already! ;) So this morning I called again and because they are also wondering why it’s not yet there, I think they called the Cebu branch and the problem they said is misroute so maybe it was delivered at other branch. The staff told me this seldom happened because usually in 5 days only the EON cards could be pick-up. And also I already received the mail dated May 16 (i applied online May 14 at 10pm) confirming that I am a new member of Union Bank so it means my online application was successful. So I will call again next week and hope it’s there already because the staff told me it’s not only me but there are other 9 and our cards are at other branch. ;) At least now, I know why it’s not yet there in Legazpi. Thank you so much for the time. I know my application for paypal would be easy because of you.

Hello,

Well in my case, i also got a ticket number after applying online …their trunkline is always busy!!! just like citibank… hmmm, why not try to call your branch– nearest branch ??? Maybe they can check if your online application was successful… i did that here in my branch..i.e. headoffice =)
Well about submitting a new one. hmmm… not so sure about it… but you can ask the branch manager if they would allow that =)… just so happened that i was able to get mine at the right time. =)besides i got it in headoffice so probably that made the transaction easier.. Try to call the branch manager i suggest, he should know everything.. Keep us updated here =)

Hi again! It’s been 2 weeks now and my eon card is still not ready for pick-up. I’m thinking maybe my application was not successful but i got a sequence number after I sent the form online. What should I do? Will it cause a problem if I submit a new application again? I tried calling 84186 which I waited but really very busy always.

yep, alert pay works just the same concept as paypal =). I think EON Debit card works with alertpay….. as long as there is a VISA logo it should work..i just got an account for alertpay but still pending my verification. but am on my way to it. =)

Well you see, EON VIsa Debit card was not advertised on television…. its only spreading just by word of mouth hence there is really a great potential that it would soon create domino effect once it has flourished along the way.Right? Its a great news for us…. Your branch tellers probably were not exposed to this yet since not many comrades in your area doesnt know about this or havent tried opening an account …. Oh well once you get this working maybe yourself could prove to them how grateful and beneficial it is to have one… besides this is an income generating opportunity as well for you… if you’re a businessman it would surely be a hit for you. You could inform them the great news once you get it done yourself or maybe link them here =) Who knows?? Paypal is also new in the philippines. It was only just the last quarter of 2007 when paypal was approved to be used in the philippines. The frezy still cant be seen in your town area but in manila there is trend of demand nowadays since a lot of professionals here are internet/techno-savvy hence they mostly have access to computer. There is a link in the post i created regarding opening a paypal account .. maybe you can follow the instructions from there =)

Good for you…..as the saying goes.. early bird catches more worms hehe =)

Oh there’s now alertpay also! What are the debit cards accepted by alertpay? No bdo? Oh the other day I went to BDO to convert my EPCI atm to BDO International and when I asked one of the staff about Paypal she doesn’t know and she never heared about it yet. Also so funny when I went to Union bank 2 weeks ago to inquire about EON… the teller said I should go online and look for parang FON cyber account daw yata yun… ;) Gosh! why are they not familiar with EON??? ;)
