Yes, Indeed another good news awaits local Java developers and evangelist out there! I just heard from a former colleague of mine (java enthusiast too) that Sun Microsystems will be holding another 3-day event here in Manila this coming June 17-19, 2008 dubbed as “Sun Tech Days in Manila”. Yippee!!! This is the perfect time and opportunity for us developers to explore the vast learning tools and cutting-edge technologies from Sun Microsystems including JavaFX, OpenSolaris, JRuby, MySQL database and GlassFish project.

Tech Days will also feature Ajax and Web 2.0-style frameworks and toolkits, the Solaris OS, the NetBeans IDE, the Java EE, SE, and ME platforms, Open Source, Sun Studio, examples of real-world solutions, demonstrations and hands-on training, all to help boost technical competencies and skills of developers. It’s great to hear such conferences happening because Tech Days conferences showcase the range from hands on lab experiences, trainings, community programs and java technical sessions. For sure, a lot of gurus and java experts would be participating in the said event.
